April 2016 Favourites

Seeing as it is now the month of May (although you wouldn't know it by looking out the window!), I thought now was as good a time as any to talk to you about my April Favourites. I don't have too much to share this month as I have purchased a few more bits that I am yet to use, but here are the bits and pieces that I've reached for a lot in the last month.

Molton Brown Pink Pepperpod Nourishing Body Lotion.

Oh I love Molton Brown bath and body products. Everything in their range smells divine and always reminds me of staying in a five-star hotel that has posh complimentary toiletries and a luxurious spa onsite. Husband bought me a bottle of this a few months back for my birthday - fair play to him, he pays attention to my bathroom shelf and knew I had used the shower gel before. I used that one every day and I loved it so much that I'm now on my second bottle.  The scent is aptly called Pink Pepperpod as it does smell peppery but not in a make-you-sneeze kind of way. It has notes of ginger and patchouli in it too. It also absorbs nice and quickly and leaves skin super soft.

Molton Brown Rhubarb and Rose Hand Cream.

Sorry yes this is another Molton Brown product but I bought it at the same time as the body lotion and I'm equally a fan of it as the lotion. I had a mini bottle of the shower gel of this too before so I knew that this would be a favourite of mine too. It contains a mixture of rhubarb and rose notes with a citrussy hint to it as well. Again I can't describe the fragrance very well but it is absolutely gorgeous and such a treat for your hands as well leaving them nice and soft.

Catrice High Glow Mineral Highlighting Powder.

I saw this featured on Xposé on TV3 recently and seeing as I am easily led I went on a hunt for it in my local Penneys and pharmacies. It was hard to find - as is every beauty product once recommended on a show like Xposé- but I eventually found it in one of the local pharmacies and I think it was around €5/€5.50. You also get a lot of product for that price as it's quite a generous-sized compact. It's a baked highlighting powder and is finely milled so you don't end up with over-the-top glitter on your face. It is buildable too so you can use a little at a time or go all out if you wish! At this price you really can't go wrong.

Flormar Illuminating Primer Make Up Base.

I picked this up at the recent Irish Beauty Show in the RDS and I've been using it nearly every day since. Primers really help to smooth over the skin before foundation and also to help your foundation last longer on the skin. This one smoothes and mattifies the skin but seems to give a glow and brightness under foundation as well. I definitely notice the difference in my foundation when I'm in a hurry in the mornings and haven't had time to use the primer. Flormar are a reasonably priced brand too with this primer coming in at  €9.95.

That's all I have to share with you for now..Have you tried any of these products before? I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments below! And what were your favourites of last month?

Bye for now
C xx
