Boots Beauty Haul

To say I was excited at the prospect of a Boots store opening in the retail park a short distance from work and home would be an understatement. I decided to take a lunchtime trip on Friday and picked up a few things which you might be interested in:

Boots Botanics Radiance Balm All Bright

I have heard amazing things about this little tube of magic. It is said to soften and brighten for instantly radiant skin. It is meant to minimise visible signs of fatigue and stress and I could use all the help I can get these days so I will be getting this on my face asap! I will be reviewing this here once I've given it a trial run.

Rimmel Volume Colourist Extreme Black Mascara.

I am still on the quest for my "holy grail" of mascaras and this is new to the Rimmel range (and was on special offer) so as it was time to change mascaras again and dispose of the current one, I thought I would try a Rimmel one for a change. This one comes with a "lash tint complex" in the ingredients and claims to darken your lashes over time. I am curious about this claim and I will be back to you again with my verdict soon!

Sleek Make Up Luminous Pressed Powder.

Again I'm on the quest for that radiant skin. I've wanted to try this out for a while as it is a pressed powder that you would use to set your foundation but it has a bit of a shimmer in it. It is not as sparkly as a highlighting powder but just a little bit shimmery so I'm hoping this will help to brighten up my skin on those tired days.. Plus we are apparently coming into summer when sheer and glowy make up is all the rage..

Rimmel 60 Seconds Super Shine nail polish in Caramel Cupcake.

I'm often enabled by other beauty bloggers I'm afraid - and I have the lovely Grace from Itsallg Blog to thank for this one - I saw a picture of it on her Instagram and it looked like the perfect shiny nude shade so of course it went on my wish list :) It's really pretty and I'm looking forward to using this over the weekend. Thanks Grace!:)

Boots Face Sponge Applicator Wand.

I was actually looking for a flat contour brush to use with a cream contour palette that I bought but have yet to try out. But until I find out if I actually like the contour kit or not, I wasn't willing to fork out €30 for the only one they had in store - even if it was rose gold! So I thought I would give this thing for €6.99 a try first and see..

Sleek Matte Me Matte Lip Creams in Birthday Suit and Petal.

I actually went in looking for one of the Revlon matte lip creams - I had my eye on the shade "Seduction" but they were all out of stock of this so having heard rave reviews of the Sleek ones too I thought I would give them a go. Both are quite nude shades - Petal being more pink and Birthday Suit more brown but they are both great everyday shades and I think these could be good for work as they are meant to be quite long lasting. Here are the two of them swatched - the top is Birthday Suit and the bottom one is Petal :)

Well that's everything that I picked up (other than some hand sanitiser and an Impulse body spray which I didn't think would be the most interesting to include here).

If you already use or have used any of the above I'd love to hear what you thought of them?

Bye for now,
C xx
