Glossybox UK July 2016 Review

Glossybox UK July 2016 Review

Hey there,
Hope you're all enjoying the gorgeous weather we're having at the moment! It's amazing how a bit of decent sunshine can lift everyone's mood! Glossybox are also all about Summer this month, with the box said to include the best beauty products for a sun-kissed glow. In addition, all of the products in this month's box are full-sized and not sample or travel-sized - which always makes subscribers feel like they are getting their pound or euro's worth. So what was in my box?

Blank Canvas Cosmetics F20 Flat Brush.

Hot Pink F20 Flat Brush Blank Canvas Cosmetics

Oh my goodness how excited was I to see the "sneak peek" a few weeks ago telling us that there would be one of these in every box. This is my holy grail foundation brush. I have two of them already and I'm not in the least bit disappointed that I now have another one. I always need backups in case the others need washing! This really is a super brush for buffing and stippling foundation into the skin to give a really flawless finish. If you haven't got one of these in your makeup brush stash then go and get yourself one pronto. I love this brush so much that it featured in a previous monthly favourites post which you can read more about here. These brushes retail for €14.99 on the Blank Canvas Cosmetics website.

Hairon De-tangle brush.

Hairon detangling hairbrush

This ergonomically designed brush is made to fit into the palm of your hand and to gently detangle your hair when it's wet. It's the same concept as the well-known Tangle Teezer brush. I have a Tangle Teezer and use this all the time so it will be handy to have the Hairon version too for travelling or throwing in the handbag. It is a good bit smaller than the Tangle Teezer so I probably won't use this every day. It will be great for holidays though! The RRP of this brush is £6.99.

Icona Milano Emotion Allowed Mascara.

Icona Milano Emotion Allowed Waterproof Mascara

This mascara is said to be water, sweat and humidity resistant with a buildable formula to give either subtle definition or a false lash effect. I mentioned in a Summer Beauty Essentials post very recently that I would be looking out for a waterproof mascara and now thanks to Glossybox I can cross this off my shopping list! I always like to try out new mascaras and it will definitely be coming on holliers with me. The RRP of this is £13.04. (Rather precise of Glossybox :))

Hawaiian Tropics Island Berry Lip Gloss SPF25.

Hawaiian Tropics Island Berry Lip Gloss SPF25

This is a moisturising lip gloss with advanced UVA and UVB protection. The colour goes on quite sheer compared to how it looks in the tube - which is good as I'm not really into strong lips! The SPF in it will be really handy again for the sunny weather or for holidays. I slicked some on there as I was writing this and it feels lovely on the lips - not at all sticky and it tastes yummy too. In fact I'm having to stop myself eating it! The RRP of this is £6.99.

Utan and Tone Nourishing Night Creme.

Utan and Tone Gradual Tanner for face

This night cream contains gradual tanning ingredients and is meant to have you waking up with a sun kissed glow to the face without staining your pillow and without that notorious false tan smell. I don't generally false tan my face but once I have some self tan applied to the rest of me, I will definitely give this a go. Right now the rest of me is its usual pasty white so I would look a bit odd with a bronzed face! An interesting product and if it works, a great idea to be able to combine your night-time moisturiser with a gradual tanner. Watch out for updates on my Social Media! The RRP of this is £12.50.

Overall, Glossybox has done a great job this month in my opinion. Well, they had me at the brush but the other contents are pretty impressive too :)
Are you signed up to Glossybox? I'd love to know your thoughts on this month's box!

Bye for now,
