Freedom Makeup Pro Brow Pomade Review and Simple Brow Routine

Freedom Brow Pomade

Anyone who follows me on Instagram will know that this product features quite a lot in my "make up of the day" posts. I've had a lot of questions about it recently so I thought, why not do a blog post on it!

This little gem is the Freedom Makeup Pro Brow Pomade. It is a gel-like formula that is perfect for creating natural, defined looking brows and it comes in 11 different shades. Mine is the shade Ash Brown which is a cool-toned dark brown. As you can see from the big crater in the pot, I've used it quite a lot. However there is a lot of product in this and it will last absolutely ages!

Freedom Makeup is a UK makeup brand which offers professional quality makeup at affordable prices. They are part of TAM Beauty which is the company behind other much-loved affordable brands Makeup Revolution and I Heart Makeup. Freedom Makeup is the more grown-up sister of the group and has sleek and simple black and white packaging. I'm a big fan of all three of these brands - which you will also know by now if you've been following me for a while! The Freedom Makeup Pro Strobe Contour Palette is also a major favourite of mine and I wrote a post on this a while ago which you can read here.

My eyebrows are naturally very fair as you will see from the "Before and After" shot below and they need work to match up to my darkened hair!

A lot of the brown brow products out there have a warm orangey tone to them which doesn't work on a lot of people, including me. What I love about this colour of this pomade is that there's none of that redness yet it does come in other warmer shades like Caramel Brown, Soft Brown and Auburn if that would suit you better.

Here is how my simple everyday brow routine goes:

1) Brush through brows with a spoolie to tidy up and brush hairs into place.

2) Using either my Blank Canvas E38 brow brush or the Zoeva 322 Brow Line brush, I dip the brush lightly into the gel and then wipe off any excess on the back of my hand. I then draw a line along the underneath of my brow to define the shape, thinning out the line towards the end.

3) I then draw another thin line along the top of the eyebrow to define and create a slight arch.

4) Then using small, light brush strokes I fill in the gaps in the brows and almost "colour" the area in.

5) Then I just brush through with the spoolie again to remove any excess product and blend in any harsh areas.

Thousands of eyebrow tutorials out there on YouTube will show you the lady with the perfect brows and perfect eye makeup and the final step she does is apply concealer around the brow area. On a weekday morning with a toddler hanging out of your leg it's enough to sweep a little cream coloured eyeshadow under the brow bone area to brighten it up.

I have to say I would highly recommend this product. I've told all my friends to go and get it quick and I've yet to hear a bad word said about it. If you are a fan of the Anastasia Beverly Hills Dip Brow Pomade then you will love this and the price is unbelievable too at €7!  It's easy to use, has a decent shade range, lasts all day without your eyebrows sliding off and it's affordable so what's not to love!

So where can you get this gem and the rest of the Freedom brand? Freedom and its sister brands are slowly appearing in more pharmacies across Ireland and Matte to Metallic's  recent blog post will give you a low-down of the Irish stockists.

Alternatively you can shop online at www.tambeauty.com and standard delivery to Ireland and the rest of Europe is priced at €5.95 with free shipping if you spend over €60.

What are your own go-to brow products? Please feel free to share!
