Hello Paper Lover: July #PaperHaul Stationery Subscription Review

July #PaperHaul Stationery Subscription Review

Any children of the eighties out there might remember the “fancy paper” days – when you would collect little notepads with pretty pictures and swap pages of your favourites with your friends. And let’s not forget the ones that were scented as well! Well it seems I haven’t quite grown out of that phase – and if you follow me on Instagram already you might know this from all my posts on notebooks, agendas and stickers and such. So when Claire from #PaperHaul put out a shout-out for anyone interested in trying out their subscription service – I immediately thought it would be something that I would use and that I would love to try out and review for you all. My little parcel arrived a couple of weeks ago and today I thought I would show you all what’s inside.

#PaperHaul is a monthly stationery subscription service and each month, you receive a selection of cards and postcards and a coordinating notebook, all centred around a particular theme. The theme each month is a surprise – and the clue on a sticker on the front of the package is the only hint you get. This crafty and pretty business is based in Scotland and is run by a fellow Claire. Currently, they are available here on the Crafty Creatives website, however they are soon to be relaunched at their own unique site, www.hellopaperlover.com.

The July parcel had a very pretty mermaid and seahorse theme with a selection of pretty items in gorgeous bright pink and sea green colours. Everything comes parcelled together with green and white string, which makes a nice change to the standard subscription box wrapping of boxes, ribbon and shredded paper. Most of the time the packaging of those ends up in the bin anyway!

Inside the package is:

-A large square pink card, with gold seahorses embossed all over it and a blank inside so that you can add your own messages.

- Two postcards with mermaid quotes and the same embossed seahorse design, one pink and one sea green.

- 3 mini cards in various designs with mini envelopes – perfect for adding to a gift or to a bouquet of flowers if you’re giving to someone else.

- An A6 sized notebook in a sea-green and gold wave print design with the words “Make Waves” in bright pink lettering. These sized notebooks are great for handbags and for anything from shopping lists to quick to-do lists. I’ll be popping this one inside the back of my personal sized Filofax so that I have extra notepaper on hand.

So what’s my verdict?

The #PaperHaul subscription is a brilliant idea – for fellow stationery nerds like me or as a gift for someone else in your life who have a thing about fancy paper. It costs only £10 plus P&P per month and they ship worldwide.

New subscribers can use the code "25 OFF" at sign up to receive a 25% discount off your first monthly collection.

And some even better news?

It’s going to be re-launched on www.hellopaperlover.com very soon for an even more affordable £5 per month including P&P. I presume the postage inclusive price will apply to the UK only but they do offer EU and international shipping also. If you are interested in subscribing, make sure to sign up to their newsletter to be kept in the loop for when the new collection is ready to go!
